    Irene Taylor is an Oscar-nominated documentary filmmaker whose films have shown around the world, winning multiple Emmy awards and a Peabody Award. As the daughter of deaf parents and mother to a deaf son, Irene consistently looks for new ways to collaborate with disabled and under-represented audiences.

    Irene founded Vermilion Films in 2006, and The Treehouse Project in 2019. She serves on the board of Treehouse and as its Executive Director.

  • Tahria is a Primetime Emmy-nominated documentary filmmaker based in Portland, Oregon. Hailing originally from Sydney, Australia, she has worked in remote locations around the world.

  • Ryan Neil is an artist, entrepreneur and educator transforming the ancient practice of bonsai into a contemporary North American art form. At the helm of his two companies — Bonsai Mirai and Mirai Live — he explores the essence of America’s wild spaces, utilizing native tree species and exploring weathered and asymmetrical forms.

    Ryan brings to the Treehouse board his strategic acumen and proven leadership cultivating a rich community in niche spaces.
